Did you know that the world’s oldest wine dates back 6,000 years? It was discovered during archaeological excavations in southern Armenia. We doubt whether it was still drinkable, but if you fancy a drink, head to Ghent!
Our city has not only beer cafés and coffee bars, but lots of hip and cosy wine bars too! No need to be a connoisseur to enjoy a glass of full-bodied, crisp or organic wine. Some wine bars offer a lunch menu, while others have their very own shop selling the products on the wine list.
